cairn

The Studio

Stones first, always.

cairn began with a habit of keeping rocks in every coat pocket. The studio grew around it — a small bench in New York where stones are set the way they were found: close to the surface, held lightly, made to be kept for decades.

Materials

Solid 14k gold, recycled wherever possible. No plating, no fill — the metal we solder is the metal you inherit.

Sourcing

Stones bought small and direct: miner parcels, antique cuts, opals and sapphires chosen by hand. Every origin we know, we tell.

Process

Each piece is fabricated at the bench in Manhattan — forged, set, and finished by hand, in runs small enough to sign.

A cairn marks the way. So does a well-made ring.

We design jewelry to be worn hard, repaired easily, and passed on — the opposite of disposable. If a piece of ours ever needs care, sending it home is always the easiest route.
